Jungle
Jungle is the name of the second main expansion set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It was released in Japan in 1997, with the English version following 3 years later in 2000. This set features first-generation Pokémon (the first 151 Pokémon).
Jungle is popular mainly due to the trio of Eeveelutions (Flareon, Jolteon, Vaporeon) and fan-favorite Pokémon Snorlax and Scyther, as they did not appear in the Base Set.
A notable error occurred right in the first print run of Jungle: the holographic cards do not have the set symbol printed below the Pokémon's image. Due to this mistake, the holo cards without a symbol are considered error cards and thus have a greater value.
The Japanese release contained 48 cards; however, the English release was expanded to 64 cards because the manufacturer at the time, Wizards of the Coast, decided to include non-holographic variants of the rare holo cards.
