Neo Genesis
Neo Genesis is the name of the first main expansion in the Neo Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It was released in Japan in 2000 under the name Gold, Silver, to the new world…, with the English version being released as "Neo Genesis" in 2001.
Neo Genesis was the first set to introduce Generation Two Pokémon along with the new Dark and Steel types. It also featured, for the first time (mirroring the second generation of games), Baby Pokémon cards (such as Cleffa).
Additionally, the new "Tool" Trainer cards were introduced, allowing these cards to be attached to a Pokémon to grant it certain advantages during the game.
Collector favorites include the Lugia card and the Generation Two starter Pokémon (Typhlosion, Meganium, Feraligatr). The set contains 111 cards, including 19 holographic cards.
