Team Rocket

Team Rocket is the name of the fifth main expansion set for the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It was released in Japan as Rocket Gang in 1997, with the English version being released as "Team Rocket" in 2000.

This set features first-generation Pokémon (the first 151 Pokémon) and introduces the new "Dark Pokémon," which represent the Pokémon used by Team Rocket. Team Rocket is known as the main villain of the first generation. The set includes rare and popular versions of Pokémon like Dark Charizard, Dark Blastoise, Dark Dragonite, and others.

Team Rocket also introduced another innovation for the first time: secret cards. Secret cards are distinguished by having a collection number greater than the total number of cards listed in the expansion. The first secret card was Dark Raichu with the set number 83/82.

The set also marked the first time that specific Trainer and Energy cards had holographic versions.
