Neo Destiny

Neo Destiny is the name of the fourth and final main expansion in the Neo Series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG). It was released in Japan in 2001 as Darkness, and to Light…, with the English version following a year later as "Neo Destiny" in 2002. It is the last expansion set to feature Generation Two Pokémon.

Like most sets, Neo Destiny introduced something new: Light Pokémon. However, this type of Pokémon has no effect on gameplay and no accompanying storyline; they are simply interesting collector's pieces with beautiful art and a fascinating concept.

This set also specialized in the Shining Pokémon from the previous edition and changed their appearance. In Neo Destiny, Shining Pokémon are in a non-holographic version, where only the Pokémon itself on the card is holographic (previously, the entire artwork, including the background, was holographic; now only the Pokémon is).

This set is the grand finale of the Neo Series and offers a great deal to see and collect. You will find 113 cards, including 16 Holo Rare cards and another 8 Shining cards, such as the rare Shining Charizard or Shining Raichu. They are complemented by cards like Light Arcanine, Light Dragonite, or Dark Espeon with beautiful artwork.

This set closes the line of expansions where it was possible to obtain First Edition cards (i.e., cards with the "1st Edition" stamp directly on the card).
